Eligibility and visa

Eligibility
Completion of Gastroenterology residency (FRCPC or equivalent), or Canadian trainee with 1-2 years of GIM subspecialty training
International applicants
Institution policyYes - IMGs eligible for listed fellowship programmes; must be certified (RCPSC, CFPC or recognised international board) or residency-complete, meet English proficiency requirements and complete PEAP
Visa support
Institution policyinternational trainees need an IRCC work permit (LMIA-exempt); the uOttawa PGME/immigration advisor provides the documents needed to apply (CPSO letter of eligibility and LMIA-exemption number)
Licence requirement
