- Completed residency with specialty/subspecialty certification from the certifying body in the country of training, fully completed before appointment; no additional exams required
- International applicants
- Listed as available to internationally sponsored applicants for the 2027–2028 intake (Western PGME)

- Institution policyNon-Canadians need a closed, employer-specific IRCC work permit; Western PGME issues the supporting documentation after CPSO eligibility (allow at least 8 months; processing 4-50+ weeks)
