Eligibility and visa

Eligibility
UEG Young Associates who are clinicians in digestive health, fluent in English (min. B2), residing in Europe, a Mediterranean-bordering country or a UEG National Member Society country, and in the last two years of clinical training or within 2 years of completion; one participation only. Host minimum experience: Applicants should have basic clinical experience in gastroenterology, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and/or endoscopic ultrasound (EUS). A basic understanding of HPB endoscopy is essential to benefit from the clinical visiting fellowship. Host prefers: Medical gastroenterologist/hepatologist.

Licence requirement
Hands-on: Yes, applied to patients. Trainee tasks: Trainees are allowed to participate in direct clinical care, inpatient clinical rounds, outpatient clinics, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
