Eligibility and visa
- Eligibility
- Medical degree from an institution recognised by the Ministry of Education of the country of origin (direct access, no specialty prerequisite).
- International applicants
- Programme exists specifically for foreign-trained physicians (foreign nationals or Brazilians graduated abroad) who have not revalidated their diploma in Brazil and do not intend to live or work in Brazil; Celpe-Bras (Intermediate) Portuguese certificate required.
- Visa support
- HCX Fmusp supplies documentation for the trainee to request a visa from the Brazilian consulate; trainee arranges visa and Federal Police registration.
- Licence requirement
- HCX Fmusp requests a special provisional authorisation from CREMESP; medical acts permitted only inside HCFMUSP under supervision.
