Eligibility and visa
- Eligibility
- Indonesian specialist in general surgery (Sp.B) (domestic or foreign graduate; foreign-trained specialists need an adaptation certificate from a collegium-recognised institution); legalised specialist diploma; valid specialist STR; collegium recommendation; employer consent if employed; signed statement to comply with RSUD Dr. Soetomo/FK UNAIR rules; family consent. ELPT/TOEFL >= 500 or IELTS >= 6.0; recommendation from 2 consultant digestive surgeons and from the local IKABDI branch; references from digestive subspecialists; specialist for > 3 years or at least 75 laparotomies (except teaching staff/military/police/state-enterprise candidates); statement to return to sending institution.

- Self-funded or sponsored; fees 2026/2027: UKT Rp 25,000,000 per semester plus one-off IPI Rp 50,000,000. Ministry of Health study-assignment candidates need a letter confirming MoH/health office covers UKT and IPI
