Editorial and verification policy

How programmes are selected, evidence is recorded, corrections are reviewed and sponsorship is disclosed.

Scope and selection

Clinical and research fellowships, advanced subspecialty training, and observerships with an established subspecialty focus. Basic specialty residencies, standalone degrees and courses, general observerships and centres without an identified programme are outside the directory. Some advanced training uses local residency or diploma titles; inclusion requires evidence of its post-specialty or subspecialty scope.

Listing order and inclusion are not a ranking of clinical quality. We do not assess training accreditation independently; check the appropriate accrediting body and the programme’s official information.

Sources and verification

Universities, hospitals, government bodies and recognised colleges or professional societies are the primary sources for programme facts. Specialist directories are useful for discovery, but an imported record alone is not an official verification.

Profiles retain source links and, where recorded, field-level evidence and official check dates. We distinguish the import date from the date an official source was examined. Rebuilding pages does not renew verification dates.

Reading evidence labels

Confirmed
The cited official source supports the stated field. Check its date and intake scope.
Not stated
The checked source did not publish the detail; this does not mean the answer is “no”. Legacy imported labels can still require a fresh source check.
Unverified
An independent official-source check for the claim is not recorded.
Institution policy
A general institutional policy, whose application to this programme must be confirmed.
Conflicting sources
Sources disagree; the conflict must be resolved with the programme before relying on the detail.

Intakes and eligibility

Intake status is separate from the existence of a programme. Recurring does not mean currently open. Opening dates, interviews and start dates are not application deadlines. Expired dates must not be presented as upcoming deadlines.

Citizenship, qualifications, professional registration, language, membership, international eligibility and sponsorship are separate questions. Limited or restricted eligibility is not automatically citizens-only eligibility. A visa route is not a promise of sponsorship.

Corrections and programme submissions

Include the programme name, its directory URL, the detail to change, and a dated official source. Please use your institutional email address if you represent a programme.

The directory team reviews the supporting material before publishing changes. Unsupported claims may stay unverified; out-of-scope submissions are not added as fellowships. Where two records refer to the same programme, they are reconciled while preserving distinct intakes and source evidence.

Report a correction

The email link opens a draft in your mail app. Review it and send it to submit your request; clicking the link alone does not send anything.

Commercial independence

Basic inclusion and corrections are free. Commercial placement is labelled “Sponsored” or “Advertisement” and separated from ordinary results. Payment cannot establish verification, accreditation, funding or programme quality. Links that are part of paid placements are marked as sponsored in the page markup.

We do not sell guaranteed admission, guaranteed search ranking or a “best programme” position. A commercial relationship will be disclosed on the relevant placement.
